realuptime status vs OpenStatus

OpenStatus is an open-source monitoring and status-page platform with a self-hosted option. Its own documentation gates per-monitor region access by tier: 4 regions on the free Hobby plan, 6 on Starter, and the full 28-region pool only on Pro and Scale. realuptime status ships all 4 of its named regions on every tier, including Free, with no region-count upsell.

Why teams pick realuptime status

OpenStatus's own documentation states that temporary single-region failures are filtered out before they reach visitors, and that each status-page component shows one aggregated status rather than a per-region breakdown. realuptime status takes the opposite approach on the page itself: all 4 regions it checks are shown side by side as named states, so a partial or single-region issue is visible rather than smoothed into one badge. The monitor and the page ship as one product at one flat price, with no region-count tier to climb to see the full picture.
